Does applying the 20% new subscriber promo code reduce an $85 cart below the free shipping threshold?
Short answer
Yes, applying the 20% discount reduces an $85 cart to $68, which drops the order $12 below the $80 free shipping threshold. Online checkouts calculate delivery qualifications on the net balance after coupons apply, not the initial total. To maintain free delivery while using the promotional code, shoppers must reach an initial cart subtotal of at least $100 before entering checkout.
Applying a 20% subscriber discount reduces an $85 cart to $68, which places the post-discount subtotal $12 below the $80 threshold required to qualify for complimentary shipping.
Online store checkouts assess delivery minimums against the net balance after coupons apply, creating unexpected shipping fees during sacred fungi purchases. Reaching the minimum requires calculating the post-discount subtotal before entering the final checkout gateway.
If you only do one thing: Maintain a pre-discount cart subtotal of at least $100 so the final post-discount order balance meets or exceeds the $80 free shipping minimum.
- Calculation breakdown: Applying the 20% new subscriber coupon to an $85 order subtracts $17, leaving an adjusted product subtotal of $68 before taxes and shipping fees.
- Threshold gap: Standard e-commerce cart engines compare the net post-discount subtotal of $68 against the $80 free shipping rule, resulting in a $12 qualifying deficit.
- Minimum cart value: To maintain free shipping alongside the 20% welcome savings, customers need a gross cart value of $100 or higher, where $100 minus 20% equals exactly $80.
- Alternative bundle options: Pre-set multi-item ritual tiers like Buy 3 Get 1 Free, Buy 5 Get 2 Free, and Buy 10 Get 5 Free provide automatic product volume options across formulations.
- Single item pricing: Individual sacred fungi chocolate and gummy selections standardly retail between $69.99 and $88.88 across the Libido, Clarity, Focus, Euphoria, and Creativity ritual blends.
- Watch out for: Standard carrier shipping fees added at checkout that offset the $17 promotional savings on an $85 cart.
- Watch out for: Attempting to combine the 20% welcome code with 3-for-1 or 5-for-2 volume bundle discounts that cart systems frequently restrict.
- Watch out for: Assuming add-on package protection or sales taxes count toward reaching the base $80 product merchandise threshold.
Adding an extra item or selecting an $88.88 ritual product alongside smaller offerings raises the initial basket over $100 to preserve complimentary delivery.
